This scarf was knit from one precious skein of buffalo-down yarn and named for the Lakota holy woman also known as White Buffalo Woman. Just as Ptesan-Wi taught the Lakota people many skills they needed
to survive, this scarf will improve your lace knitting with stunning results.
Yarn Requirements: laceweight
or fingering-weight yarn,
at least 350 yds (sample uses
Buffalo Gold #11 2-ply Laceweight, undyed)
Gauge: approx 22 sts/32 rows =
4” in stockinette st on size
6 (4mm) ndls (gauge is not
critical for this project)
Difficulty: intermediate Size: as shown, 8.5” x 60” after blocking
